Painting on location transforms a private act into a public one, it places the artist within the space being observed, inviting the environment to participate with the art.
A sense of shared vulnerability is formed with passers by to become part of the work itself, grounding each study in lived experience rather than purely detached description.
This work has been completed as several sketchbook accounts of journeys or periods of work.
